"In defending our own interests within the EEU, we should actively use a tool such as the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC)," said Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Pankratov on the results of the Board of the State Agency for Antimonopoly Regulation of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
"First of all, on behalf of the Prime Minister I would like to congratulate all the participants on the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Antimonopoly Agency. Over the years, the agency has come a long way becoming the main defender of the interests and rights of consumers in a market economy. Of course, each new day presents us new challenges that need to be promptly addressed. Given the professionalism of the agency, I am sure you will successfully cope with the tasks and challenges," he said.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz government, in the course of the meeting Pankratov noted that in 2016 the Antimonopoly Agency has to pay close attention to solving problems such as de-dollarization of the economy, bringing order in advertising market, working with the natural monopolies.
"However, it should intensify efforts in protecting the rights of consumers and business entities in the conditions of accession of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Eurasian Economic Union. Given that the Eurasian Economic Commission, which solves all the existing problems between the participating countries of the integration association, works regularly under the EEU, we need to actively use this tool in protecting our own interests," said the Deputy Prime Minister.
