The first meeting of the Council of Heads of the Border Regions of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan has started in Fergana.
The meeting is chaired by Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov and Uzbekistan Abdullah Aripov. The heads of the border regions of the two countries, as well as ministries and departments take part in it.
During the meeting of the first Council, it is planned to discuss issues of development of trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the regions of the two countries.
The Kyrgyz delegation includes heads of ministries and departments, governors of Batken, Jalal-Abad and Osh oblasts, as well as heads of territorial agencies of border regions.
