Kyrgyzstan received $45 million from Russia to close public budget gap, Minister of Finance Olga Lavrova said at the plenary session of the Parliament on December 4 while considering the bill on amendments to the public budget of Kyrgyzstan for 2014 and forecast for 2015-2016.
The move was necessitated to fill the budget gaps within taxes and customs duties.
“We asked for help from Russia, and they provided us with two tranches,” she said.
Earlier this week, Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved ratification of an agreement between the Governments of Russia and Kyrgyzstan on economic cooperation within the Eurasian economic integration that was signed in Astana (Kazakhstan) on 29 May 2014.
