Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Joomart Otorbayev met with First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Igor Shuvalov, the press service of the Government reports.
During the meeting, the sides discussed a number of essential issues relating to Kyrgyzstan's accession to the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
An agreement to launch the work of the Kyrgyz-Russian Development Fund in the third decade of 2014 was reached and funding arrangements for the procedure were covered.
“Activities within the roadmap for accession of Kyrgyzstan to the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space are being implemented in full and on schedule,” Otorbayev noticed.
In addition, the sides considered the process of forming the legal basis for the entry of Kyrgyzstan in the EEU. The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan stressed that all legal acts required for harmonization of the Kyrgyz legislation are currently under final approval procedure in the Parliament.
