Leader of the Ata Meken parliamentary faction Omurbek Tekebayev received representatives of 37 rural municipalities of Talas region on November 27, the press service of the Parliament reports.
The sides discussed issues of regulation of tariffs for electricity, construction of social facilities, budget allocation, and use of natural resources.
Head of Baka-Ata rural municipality Kubandyk Berdashev said increase in electricity tariffs is a great problem of the region. Thus, local self-governments cannot pay for the electricity on time due to lack of budget money.
Residents of the districts noted difficulties in using regional natural resources. They exampled intake of sand from the riverbed that requires permit from the State Inspectorate for Environmental and Technical Safety, and asked to simplify the procedure.
Tekebayev promised to raise all these issues. “The Government should have foreseen this situation and prepared in advance. All this leads to the growth of social tension,” he said.
