Syrgak Abdramanov of Kyrgyzstan has won the Asian Cup Junior Weightlifting Championships in Uzbekistan that were held from November 17 to 21.
The national team of Kyrgyzstan was represented by 6 sportspeople under the guidance of coaches Kambar Toktonaliyev and Zamir Sagynov.
Syrgak Abdramanov along with Meder Markayev performed in the weight category up to 62 kg. Abdramanov managed to lift 119 kg in snatch, and 137 kg in clean and jerk winning the gold of the championships with 256 kilograms. Markayev, in turn, lifted 85 kg in snatch, and 115 kg in clean and jerk winning the bronze medal with total 200 kilograms.
Ulan Jakishev performed for Kyrgyzstan in the weight category up to 69 kg. His total result of 266 kg allowed him to take the final 3rd place and win the bronze medal.
Meanwhile, Kadyrbek Aitpekov (56 kg), Kursant Tolonov (77 kg) and Urmat Syrgabayev (77 kg) failed to win the championships.
