The National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic opened the Indian Culture Center on November 14, the ceremony of was opened by library director Jyldyz Bakashova.
She thanked the Indian Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic noting the center was opened thanks to the cooperation with the Embassy.
The new center was launched with the aim to popularize the culture, art, traditions and history of India, to promote learning of Hindi and English languages, to provide access to books, audio and video in Hindi and English.
The center will hold various lectures, round table discussions, meetings, the Days of Indian Culture.
Within the opening of the center, the illustration book exhibition took place.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture of Kyrgyzstan Muktaly Bektenaliyev, the Indian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, and others.
