Massive collection of biometric data of the population will start in Bishkek on October 20, the press service of the State Registration Service said.
The procedure includes collection of 10 fingerprints, digital photograph of the face and electronic signature.
Biometric data can be delivered to 50 checkpoints located in the offices of registration department of vehicles and drivers, cadaster and real estate property registration department, public service centers, secondary schools and several universities (Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport and Architecture; Kyrgyz State Technical University; Kyrgyz National Agrarian University; Kyrgyz Economic University; Kyrgyz Academy of Tourism; Chui University).
A citizen should have passport in possession: an ID-card or foreign passport, passport of 1974 or 1994 samples.
The campaign to collect biometric data started in Bishkek on 28 August 2014 for the first time. Vice Speakers and leaders of all five parliamentary factions handed in their data.
