 Bishkek opens Center of Indian Culture

Ambassador of India Jayant N. Khobragade visited the National Library of Kyrgyzstan, where he met with its Director Jyldyz Bakashova on October 7.

The sides discussed official opening of the Center of Indian Culture at the National Library which is planned to be held on November 14, the birthday of the first Indian Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.

The Center of Indian Culture will provide visitors with information about Indian culture and literature, and will be engaged in popularization of the knowledge about India through books, periodicals, documentaries, audio and video materials in Hindi, Kyrgyz, Russian and English.

The center will also provide services for those wishing to learn Hindi and English languages, conduct the Days of Indian Culture and organize lectures on Indian culture.
