Kyrgyzstan supply Kazakhstan with electricity

On August 1, 2014 Kyrgyzstan has started to supply Kazakhstan with water from the Uch-Kurgan HPP in the volume of 350 cubic meters per second, the Electrical Stations JSC reports.

Thus the foreign trade exchange of electricity has begun for effective and efficient use of resources of the Naryn-Syrdarya basin according to the Protocol of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh talks on Kyrgyzstan's entry into the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space.

The Kazakh side will provide a refund of electricity from power plants in Kazakhstan in the amount received from Kyrgyzstan in 2014/15 autumn-winter period on mutually agreed regimes.
