University of Central Asia (UCA) in Naryn is scheduled to be open in 2016. This became known today during a meeting of Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Asylbek Jeenbekov with Head of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) Nurjehan Mavani on the occasion of completion her mission in Kyrgyzstan.
The sides exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and AKDN, effectiveness of implemented joint projects, the press service of the Parliament of the KR reports.
Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh thanked for assistance in addressing current social and economic problems in the country and improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable. He stressed that projects implementing by the Aga Khan Fund make a contribution to the country.
Jeenbekov noted that Kyrgyzstan pays special attention to the construction of University of Central Asia in Naryn. In this regard, the head of the Aga Khan Development Network informed that the university is planned to be open in 2016.
The Speaker expressed gratitude for Mavani’s work in Kyrgyzstan over the past 9 years and wished her success in her new position as a representative of the Aga Khan Foundation in Afghanistan.
