Kyrgyzstanis living in Turkey now will be able to receive retirement benefits far from their homeland.
This agreement was signed yesterday, on Apr. 9, following bilateral meetings between Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The President of Kyrgyzstan stressed that the agreement between the governments of the two republics on social security is historical for both sides, and stressed the constructive basis of the top-level meetings.
"Dialogue was held on a constructive basis and the sides were able to exchange views on a number of complex issues. We discussed current issues for long-term cooperation." Kyrgyzstan and Turkey are linked by a common history and language, and our main goal is to fully support bilateral cooperation in all kinds of spheres," Jeenbekov said in his speech.
Jeenbekov said that the sides agreed to continue joint work in cultural, humanitarian, trade-economic, military-technical cooperation.
"We have identified priority areas and are ready to take the necessary measures to deepen bilateral relations, and in this direction the work will be carried out at the level of legislative and executive bodies of Kyrgyzstan," he said.
During the talks, Jeenbekov also invited Erdogan to the events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of national writer Chyngyz Aitmatov, as well as to the Third World Nomad Games in September of this year.
