"Germany will be happy for your visit," German Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Monica Iversen said, presenting her credentials to President Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
Iversen thanked for the warm welcome and assured that Kyrgyzstan enjoys Germany's respect because it decided on such a complicated democratic path of development.
She noted that Germany is interested in developing bilateral cooperation in the areas of economic development, regions, healthcare, strengthening of democracy.
Jeenbekov said that for Kyrgyzstan, cooperation with Germany is an important and priority.
"I hope that with your coming to the post of Ambassador of Germany in Kyrgyzstan, the relations between our countries will move to a new level of cooperation," Jeenbekov said.
He congratulated the formation of the German government led by Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, recalling that she and former President Almazbek Atambayev exchanged official visits in 2016-2017.
"Angela Merkel's visit to Kyrgyzstan was a historic event, and contributed to an active expansion of relations at various levels. I also hope to meet with her," Jeenbekov said.
