Kubatbek Boronov, Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan, and Qatar’s Prime Minister - Minister of Internal Affairs Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani met in Doha on 27 March.
During the meeting, Boronov emphasized the importance of further development of the Kyrgyz-Qatar relations, particularly in elimination and liquidation of emergency situations, coping with the consequences of disasters and delivering humanitarian aid.
Boronov made suggestions on partnering in training rescuers and rendering technical support.
For his part, the Qatari Prime Minster noted the dynamic relations between two countries. He pointed out Qatar’s interest in deeper partnership on a broad range of questions, including civil protection and emergency situations.
At the end of meeting, Boronov conveyed greetings from Kyrgyzstan Prime minister Sapar Isakov and invited him to the Third World Nomad Games in September 2018 in Issyk-Kul.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the international mountain and diving rescue courses have been organized annually since 2012 with the participation of representatives from Qatar, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Georgia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Tajikistan, China, Pakistan, Morocco and other countries.
