250 liters of Sumolok to be cooked in Karakol on Nooruz day

250 liters of Sumolok will be prepared in Karakol town, Issyk-Kul on the Nooruz holiday.

Sumolok is a sweet paste made entirely from germinated wheat, which is prepared especially for Nooruz holiday in a large pot.

Last year, Karakol prepared a festive paste by 100 liters less than this year.

Women are cooking boorsok and national dishes.

Head of Karakol culture department Alik Asanov said cooking traditional dishes is accompanied with a concert program with the participation of cultural figures.

A festival of ashlyamfu will be held on March 21, the day Kyrgyzstan celebrates Nooruz.
