Kyrgyz film Centaurus released in Japan

According to the Japanese distribution company Bitters End, the Kyrgyz film Centaurus of Aktan Arym Kubat was released in Japan on March 17, the website of the Kyrgyz cinema reported this.

The first rolling show took place in Iwanami Hall, the oldest art house of the Tokyo Cinema, which has a 50-year old history.

Further the film will be distributed to such cities of Japan as: Tokyo, Yokohama, Kawasaki, Tsukuba, Takasaki, Sapporo, Morioka, Sendai, Yamagata, Niigata, Nagano, Matsumoto, Kanazawa, Nagoya, Mie, Shizuoka, Hamamatsu, Umeda, Kyoto, Kobe, Okayama, Hiroshima Matsuyama, Fukuoka, Kumamoto, Oita, Miyazaki, Kagoshima, Okinawa.

The premiere of the film Centaurus in Tokyo was successfully held within the framework of International Film Festival Tokyo Filmex back in Nov. 22, 2017, where the Film Maker, Aktan Arym Kubat personally presented the film to the Japanese audience.

The Japanese audience is already familiar with films of Aktan Arym Kubat. His films Beshkempir, Maymyl and Svet Ake were also presented at Film Festivals and were widely released at art houses in Japanese cinemas.

The Centaurus is a film about search for God and man, desperately fighting for preservation of traditions of own people. It is the narrative about the metaphysical connection between a horse and a man, as a result of which the horse becomes the wings of the man.
