The World Justice Project (WJP) presented the global rule of law ranking, Kyrgyzstan ranked there 82nd with one point higher than last year ( 83rd in 2016).
The Global Rule of Law Index 2017 of the WJP, released in Washington showed that in the new rating of 2017-2018, Georgia ranked 38, Ukraine (77), Belarus (65), Kazakhstan (64), Uzbekistan (92).
The top three overall performers for 2017 were Denmark, Norway, and Finland while the bottom three were Afghanistan, Cambodia and Venezuela.
The WJP Rule of Law Index 2017-2018 measures rule of law adherence in 113 countries and jurisdictions worldwide.
The WJP Rule of Law Index measures countries’ rule of law performance across eight factors: constraints on government powers, absence of corruption, open government, fundamental rights, order and security, regulatory enforcement, civil justice, and criminal justice.
