Former Deputy Education Minister named adviser to Prime Minister

Bermet Tursunkulova and 26-year-old Yulia Kalinichenko were appointed advisers to the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, the press service of the government said Thursday.

Yulia Kalinichenko, born in 1991, is a graduate of the American University of Central Asia (AUCA), holds a master's degree in European Studies and International Relations from the Central European University of Budapest, Hungary (2013).

Previously, she held the position of Project Manager at the Institute of Food Industry, Moscow, Russia; Head of International Relations and Organizational Work at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, coordinator of the National Institute for Strategic Studies.

Bermet Tursunkulova, born in 1976, Ph.D. in Political Science, was the Vice President of the AUCA. She graduated from the International University of the Kyrgyz Republic in 1998, received a master's degree at the Central European University of Budapest, Hungary in 1999.

Tursunkulova also served as the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
