More than 300 people in Kyrgyzstan offered free hemodialysis since May 2016

Hemodialysis services covered more than 300 patients since May 2016 in Kyrgyzstan thanks to a public private partnership project of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry reported.

The project "Organization and offering hemodialysis services in Bishkek, Osh and Jalal-Abad cities" is providing opportunity to patients to get high quality services in the company FreseniusMedicalCare, the report says.

The project is being implemented in cooperation with the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund.

According to patients, the program gave an opportunity to increase the quality and conditions of hemodialysis medical centers, where they get free hemodialysis services.

Hemodialysis services are very expensive. Every procedure costs 5,600 som, which should be done every other day for the life term.
