The international festival "Oimo-2017" has started in Bishkek, where more than 120 artisans from 120 countries of the world present their masterful works.
The fair is held in the center of the capital city and last until July 30, 2017, and then will be moved to Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul.
Organizers of the festival said that this event became significant and attractive event in the cultural life of Central Asia. Many travel companies made it to the calendar of regional events, and this helped attract more tourists to Kyrgyzstan. Visitors of the exhibition can not only interestingly spend their time, getting acquainted with different cultures, but also to buy various things from silk and felt, as well as unusual dishes made of natural materials.
As part of the festival, according to the organizers, the best craftsmen of the region will hold master classes for children and adults, and designers will show models of clothing in ethno style.
Also, the organizers planned interesting competitions among artists and poets. In addition, the youth will conduct artistic and environmental actions, and in the evening artists and amateur groups of the Assembly of the people of Kyrgyzstan will perform.
Organizers and partners of Oimo-2017 are CACSARC-kg, the Craft Council of Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Bishkek Mayor’s Office. the Union of Artists of the KR, the administration of Issyk-Kul oblast, Cholpon-Ata Mayor’s Office, NGO "Crafts and traditional knowledge" and other organizations.
