"Kyrgyzstan attaches more importance to the development of friendly relations with all countries that you represent," Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev said to ambassadors of five countries, who presented today their credentials.
The President noted that Kyrgyzstan is ready for cooperation with all countries. "Kyrgyzstan is open for cooperation with Afghanistan. We wholeheartedly support the efforts of the world community aimed at stabilizing the situation in Afghanistan and its integration into the world community, "Atambayev said.
Speaking about India, the President stressed that cooperation with India is one of the priority directions of Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy. In recent years, Kyrgyz-Indian relations have significantly strengthened. Trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation has been intensified," he said.
"Kyrgyz-Latvian cooperation has a great unrealized potential. We need to make every effort for practical cooperation in the trade and economic area, in education and culture," the head of state said.
Atambayev also said that, despite the geographical distance, the African continent is very important region for Kyrgyzstan. "In this regard, I express readiness for more active cooperation," the President said.
Further, the head of state stressed that Kyrgyzstan is interested in establishing close ties with Ethiopia in all spheres of cooperation.
