Japan allocates 5.8 million som for hot meals to Kyrgyz schoolchildren program

Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Gulmira Kudaiberdiyeva, Japanese Ambassador Yoshihiro Yamamura, World Food Programme country director for Kyrgyzstan Ram Saravanamuttu and the director of the Agency for Development Initiatives Iida Zhamangulova signed a grant agreement to finance the program of hot school meals in Kyrgyzsta.

Under the deal, Japan will allocate 5.8 million som in grants ($83,332) to Kyrgyzstan for providing hot meals for about 5,000 children in 16 schools in Chui and Issyk-Kul regions.
