Economic indicators of Kyrgyzstan within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (ЕEU) on results of 2016 have been improved, Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Arzybek Kozhoshev told during a press conference at Kabar Agency.
The minister said that 2016 showed that against the background of a general decrease in foreign trade turnover, Kyrgyzstan managed to increase exports and reduce imports.
"This shows that our export potential is improving compared to previous years. The external commodity turnover amounted to $ 5 billion 463.7 million and compared with 2015 decreased by 1.4%. The exports made 28.3% and imports 71.7%," Kozhoshev said.
Export deliveries increased by 5.1%, amounting to $ 1 billion 544.6 million, which is due to an increase in the volume of shipments both to EEU countries by 4.3% and to third countries by 5.3%.
"Without gold, exports of goods increased by 4.8% and $ 843.1 million," the minister said.
