Rosselkhoznadzor officers in Novosibirsk region have barred import of 2 tons of prunes from Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Office of Rosselkhoznadzor in Novosibirsk region said, Tazabek reports.
The cargo stopped by the Russian border guards in the Karasuk checkpoint arrived from Kyrgyzstan via Kazakhstan. Cargo consisted of 2 tons of fresh prunes and 150 kg of rice.
The reason for detention was lack of phytosanitary security documents.
In accordance with the quarantine legislation, import of products to the Russian Federation was banned.
Prune and rice were returned to the sender in the Kyrgyz Republic.
