Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Chynybay Tursunbekov met today with Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan Shirish Manaklal Soni on the occasion of completion of his diplomatic mission, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reports.
During the meeting the sides discussed prospects for further development of bilateral relations. Speaker Tursunbekov noted the great potential for economic cooperation between the two countries. He stressed that Kyrgyzstan is interested in attracting investments from South Africa. "Parliament is making every effort to improve the investment climate by improving the relevant legal framework," the Kyrgyz Speaker said.
In turn Shirish Manaklal Soni highlighted the fruitful partnership of Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of South Africa in the framework of the UN.
"It is necessary to intensify bilateral cooperation, especially in the mining sector," the ambassador said.
