The Pervomaiskiy district court of Bishkek on May 14 ruled 2-month arrest for Nurlan Motuyev, the State National Security Committee's press service said.
The State National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan detained the social activist and leader of the so-called Joomart Patriotic Movement, Nurlan Motuyev, for his incitement to terrorism and calls to “live up to principles of ISIS.”
On May 12, Motuyev partook in the national parliament forum and called on the opposition to live like mujahids of the Islamic State. He also called on the country to impose sharia law nationwide.
“We need a systematic struggle against the authorities... How long will the Canadians stay the owners of the Kumtor [gold mine]? If we had had al-Baghdadi (Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, ISIS leader), he would have eaten the Canadians heads off and blood would have flown like water,” he said.
