Kyrgyzstan's freestyle wrestler Aiaal Lazarev has got a quota for participation in the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), according to the United World Wrestling.
Following the European and Asian qualification tournaments in Serbia and Kazakhstan, it was revealed that some sportspeople used dopants to achieve greater results.
Thus, Ukrainian Alan Zaveyev and Belarusian Yusuf Dzhalilov – both perform in the weight category up to 125 kg – were deprived of the right to partake in the 2016 Rio Olympics due to the doping use. Their quotas have been handed over to Dániel Ligeti of Hungary and Lyuben Iliev of Bulgaria.
Since both Ligeti and Iliev managed to win the Olympic quotas by themselves during the World Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament in Mongolia, according to the regulations, the vacant quota goes to the bronze winner of the qualification tournament, who is Aiaal Lazarev of Kyrgyzstan.
