Kyrgyzstan ranked the first among the Central Asian countries on 2015 Corruption Perceptions Index, Secretary of Defense Temir Dzhumakadyrov told today during a briefing in Bishkek.
He said that, a lot of work is done to fight corruption in Kyrgyzstan. "And these efforts are appreciated at the international level. According to 2015 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) released on January 27, Transparency International, Kyrgyzstan ranks 123th. In 2014, our country was on the 154th place, " said Dzhumakadyrov. He said that this is the result of a great work.
"The process of fighting that has started in 2011, is giving its results, and it is pleasant that international organizations note the good work of the republic to fight corruption. The joint work of all state bodies gave a stable growth dynamics. In this ranking we are ahead of such countries as Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and won first place among the countries of Central Asia. Kazakhstan is also on the 123 th place, but in many positions they have decrease, and we can confidently say that Kyrgyzstan ranks first among the countries of Central Asia," he said.
