Construction of a bridge has started in Kurmanjan-Datka district of Osh city since January. The bridge will provide free passage from Isanov Street to Lenin Street across the river Ak-Buura, reports Turmush referring to the local residents.
Construction of the bridge was planned in the Soviet Union times prior to the restructuring, but the it was suspended due to the construction of the sprawling pecan grove in this site.
It was inappropriate to cut the pecan grove, according to the residents. There were concrete pillars with water pipes in the riverbed that provided the districts with water.
Now there are overgrown wild shrubs and trees on the suspended construction site, said the residents.
