Bishkek hosts workshops for children on the Chinese arts and crafts

Chinese teachers and volunteers of the Confucius Institute at Bishkek Humanities University hold in Bishkek series of workshops for children on the Chinese arts and crafts.

At the workshops, children can learn to cut a beautiful pattern from the finest papers, master the art of Chinese calligraphy, learn the basics of Chinese painting, learn the history of Chinese opera masks and their meaning, and will be able to paint a mask for themselves.

Also as part of the event, participants will be able to learn some of exercises of the ancient martial art of Tai Chi and Wu-shu, get a lesson of Chinese massage and exercises for the eyes.

In addition, on January 30 the guests can visit the charity fair and buy books, dictionaries, paintings. The money collected from the exhibition and sale of Chinese goods will be transferred to the children's rehabilitation center "Umut-Nadezhda".

Master classes will be held on 19, 23, 30 January, one of the capital's shopping malls, entrance is free.
