976 people died in car accidents in Kyrgyzstan for 11 months of 2015, said chief of the traffic police Sergei Dyachenko on December 17.
In total, 6 thousand 656 car accidents were registered in January-November 2015.
“We're undertaking a series of comprehensive measures to prevent traffic accidents but, unfortunately, they are caused by carelessness of the drivers themselves,” noticed Dyachenko.
Furthermore, 9 thousand 847 people received varying injuries.
42% of the total number of car accidents were run-overs, 35% – collisions, 9% – overturning vehicles and 7% – head-on crashes.
