Korean businessmen offered to build a solar power plant in Kyrgyzstan. Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Oleg Pankratov said during the meeting with a group of Korean businessmen.
"Korea has extensive experience in building innovative, high-tech-oriented economy on the export of finished products. Taking these into account, Kyrgyzstan is interested in attracting foreign direct investments and advanced technologies in the strategic sectors of the economy for the country. I think that we have a number of projects of mutual interest," said Pankratov.
In response, the Korean businessmen said that they already prepared a number of concrete proposals for joint implementation.
In particular, they offered construction of the power plant running on solar energy. The designed capacity of the project - 630 MW and the estimated investment will amount to US $ 1.3 billion. In addition, Korean businessmen are ready to offer their services to create security systems and install surveillance cameras in urban parks and gardens, educational and medical institutions, along the city streets and highways, they said.
