Tax authorities of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have created two working groups to administer indirect taxes on the movement of goods, the press service of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan said.
The first working group will work on the central level under the chairmanship of deputy heads of tax administrations of the two countries.
The second group will work on the level of cross-border territorial tax authorities.
The main goal of both groups is to ensure administration of indirect taxes.
The decision on creation of working groups was taken during the meeting of tax authorities from the two countries on November 27.
The meeting focused on the administration of taxes in four directions: 1) administration of flow of goods between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan; 2) administration of flow of goods China-Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan; 3) administration of flow of goods Kyrgyzstan-transit-Kazakhstan-Russia; and 4) administration of taxes paid by non-residents who are doing business in the host country.
