Bishkek, May 6 / Kabar /. On the eve of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War the Bishkek Mayor’s Office held a meeting-requiem.
Opening the meeting-requiem the head of the Pervomaysky district administration Askerbek Aliev congratulated everyone on the Victory Day and noted that the best sons of the fraternal peoples were buried at the Brethren Cemetery.
The event was attended by war veterans, chairman of the Bishkek City Kenesh, head of Pervomaisky district administration Askerbek Aliev, Ambassadors of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan.
248 soldiers killed during World War II are buried at Brethren Cemetery.
