To mark the end of the month of the tuberculosis campaign, a meeting of heads of family medicine centers of the capital and experts of the National TB Center will be held on April 1 in Bishkek.
During the meeting, participants will present the latest recommendations of the World Health Organization for the diagnosis and treatment of TB, as well as the achievements of the National TB Program of Kyrgyzstan.
"The best specialists of the city will be awarded valuable gifts, and the best organizations of primary healthcare will receive humanitarian aid with medical instruments, medical devices, and food products worth $200 thousand in the framework of the USAID project,” the Health Ministry press service reported.
The Defeat Tuberculosis USAID project was launched in Kyrgyzstan in November 2014. It aims to reduce the burden of tuberculosis and to prevent the development of its drug-resistant forms, as well as to support equitable access to quality TB services for population.
