Tuberculosis kills 353 people in Kyrgyzstan last year

353 people died in Kyrgyzstan of tuberculosis last year, according to a preliminary report on the TB epidemiology in the country.

The largest number of TB victims falls at Chui region – 87 people; while 68 people died in Bishkek and 55 – in Jalal-Abad region.

Furthermore, 43 people died of tuberculosis in Osh region, 37 – in Issyk-Kul, 21 – in Osh City, 15 – in Talas, 14 – in Naryn, and 13 – in Batken region.

For comparison, tuberculosis killed 441 people in 2013.
