Masterpieces of Primitive Art album by writer, photographer, and traveler Vicror Kadyrov was presented on January 23 in the House of Russian Book in Bishkek, the organizers of the event reported.
"The creation of the album took several years of search and study of the northern coast of Issyk-Kul. The new album is dedicated to Nikolai Cherkasov – a schoolteacher, who began the study of petroglyphs of the area together with his students," the statement said.
Artists, historians, art historians, and international delegation of UNESCO attended the presentation.
The album tells the history of the study of petroglyphs and explains their significance for ancient man in the territory of the Issyk-Kul region. The album presents not only photos, but detailed drawing of stones with ancient images.
