Deputy Minister of Education Bermet Tursunkulova met with the faculty of the Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport and Architecture on December 25.
The sides discussed the problems and prospects of training of IT specialists.
Head of the University Beishenbek Ukuyev spoke about the state educational standards of higher education in applied computer science training.
In turn, an expert on information technology Aziz Soltobayev said that the curricula were outdated.
"Graduates are not employed in the field. At the same time, the market has a demand for specialists that they cannot fit. It is time to revise the curriculum to meet the needs of the market, so that more students would be employed in the profession," he stressed.
Tursunkulova added that the Ministry is ready to support all the proposals.
Following the meeting, it was decided to analyze IT curricula of such countries as Norway, China and New Zealand.
