Turkish company will present the analysis of the impact of synthetic gas on the environment of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, due to the lack of own sources of natural gas, the republic depends on external suppliers. The current situation in the electricity sector is strongly dictates the development and effective use of local coal deposits.
One of the alternatives to ensure the country's gas independence is processing coal into gas through the construction of plants for the gasification of coal.
With the purpose of effective and efficient use of coal resources of Kyrgyzstan, introduction of innovative technologies and methods of coal gasification to supply the population with natural gas today the Ministry of Energy and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Turkish company signed a memorandum of understanding.
According to the memorandum, the Turkish company in the three months will report on the assessment of the impact of synthetic gas on the environment of Kyrgyzstan, the methods and technologies of coal gasification, which will be used for production of synthesis gas, and other technical documentation regarding the produced synthesis gas, in accordance with the laws of Kyrgyzstan.
In case of positive conclusion of the analysis, the company will receive the necessary licenses and permits for the use of solid fuels (coal) for the production of synthetic natural gas, in accordance with the legislation of Kyrgyzstan.
This project will develop and effectively use natural resources, provide enterprises of the republic with natural gas and reduce the deficit of electric power.
